P320 XFive Magazine Base plate
thingiverse
I've made some key adjustments to the printer settings. Initially, the base plate wasn't printing consistently along its perimeter, so I modified the orientation of the print job to improve the quality of the base plate. Additionally, the locking piece was not as robust when printed flat, so I decided to print it on its side for added strength. Furthermore, I reduced the cooling fan speed to enhance the overall print quality. To test the printer's durability, I dropped the assembled unit several times onto hard surfaces such as concrete and asphalt. To my surprise, the base plate withstood the impact without sustaining any significant damage. However, the locking piece still broke after approximately 15 drops. On August 15th, 2019, I made some further improvements to the design. Firstly, I added a base plate featuring dimples for numbering purposes. Secondly, I printed just the retainer plate.
