P3 Steel camera mount
thingiverse
I designed an attachment for my octopi using an old clip-on webcam that I wanted to repurpose. The design is printed in two parts that snap together securely. To secure the cable, there are strategically placed holes for tie wraps. I printed the attachment in ABS with a 20% infill at 100% print speed and was pleased to find a snug fit between the two parts and between the mount and frame. The webcam holder itself can be printed without any special considerations, but I recommend printing the top part on its side to ensure it adheres well to the bed. If you choose to print the top part normally, use a raft to improve adhesion.
