M30 x 2mm to M40 x 3mm Filter Adaptor for MSA Mask to Smaller P2/P3 Filters. I'd been holding onto two boxes of smaller filters, which were originally purchased for the wrong type of mask, and finally decided to take action by making an adaptor for my full-face mask. Print Settings: Printer Brand: MakerBot Printer Model: MakerBot Replicator 2X Rafts: No Supports: No Resolution: .2mm Infill: 100% Post-Printing: Sanding?: The smaller thread works fine with the smaller filter, but I may need to sand down the larger thread to make it screw in more smoothly. The larger thread on the mask is a more rounded thread, and the adaptor tends to cut into it. How I Designed This: Designed using Google Sketchup Make. Found a YouTube video that showed how to make a bolt-on filter adaptor. The model isn't as perfect as the one in the video, but after a couple of attempts, I couldn't be bothered to refine it further. It printed out well enough for my needs. Note: You'll need the Shape Bender plugin to create the thread. To design the thread, I drew it around 10 times larger and then scaled it down once I had it looking right.
