P100 Filter Cover
thingiverse
I design the cover to grasp onto the filter connector rather than the filter itself, freeing up space around it while securing a firm hold on the mask. This redesign allows for more room to maneuver and maintain a snug fit. Using an extruder multiplier of 1.1 or 1.15 can produce a print with a non-porous quality at a wall thickness of 1.6 mm, making this cover highly durable and resistant to contaminants. With this innovative design, users can reuse the P100 filter for several days while disinfecting the cover using alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, or other cleaning agents, extending its lifespan and maintaining effectiveness. From testing, I've found that the filter does not significantly impede airflow while adding minimal extra weight to the mask. The prominent red cross logo clearly identifies this as a medical device, ensuring users can rely on it for protection in critical situations.
