P-X (Per X) FPV Racing Drone This is my racing drone that I'm currently using in the Swedish Drone Cup. It's a 220mm x-frame designed for 5-inch props with four standard 3 or 4mm QAV280 arms. The purpose of this design is to achieve fast and affordable flight, costing about $15 USD. The latest version has survived arm-breaking crashes and continues to fly. To build the drone, you'll need the following parts: §1 - Camera Mount (1 piece) This part is designed for a HS1177 camera with a 12mm lens diameter and secures it with two tiewraps for easy replacement. It's available in 50 or 60-degree camera angle designs. §2 - Top Plate (1 piece) It's installed with four M3 bolts and washers are recommended. Access holes allow for channel changes on the VTX. §3 - Standoffs (4 pieces, 37mm long) These standoffs have inner M3 threads in both ends. §4 - Antenna Mount (1 piece) It's installed over the rear standoffs. §5 - Base Plate (1 piece) This plate has a standard 30.5mm hole pattern for the PDB and FC. Small standoffs are used to insert the battery strap between the base and the PDB. §6 - QAV280 Arms (4 pieces) These arms are standard QAV280 arms. Refer to the picture for measurement reference in millimeters. §7 - Lower Plate (1 piece) This plate secures the arms, with two designs available for 3 or 4mm thick arms. §8 - M3x16mm Screws (16 pieces) Use these screws for the PDB/FC stack, standoffs, and to secure the arms through the lower plate and base. §9 - Self-Locking Nuts (8 pieces) These nuts are used for arm bolts. Washers are recommended. §10 - Battery Distance This distance is added to prevent bolt damage to the battery. §11 - Battery Strap Insert this strap underneath the PDB to secure the battery beneath the frame. Building Guide: Build from bottom to top, referencing my quad's pictures as needed. Happy Flying!
