P-Square
grabcad
Made by FRI-007 from TI-40-01, the product is a real-life Punnett Square, a teaching aid which is used in the subject of Biology in junior high school, specifically in the chapter of genetics to explain about how genetic cross/crossbreeding works. When learning genetics, the visible traits of living things are represented by letters, for example the letter m can be used to represent the color of an apple or the letter y can be used to represent the shape of peas. These letters are also differentiated by its size, where a capitalized letter and longer package size represents a dominant trait, while a normal sized letter and shorter package size represents a recessive trait. These letters are used in a Punnett Square where a combination of traits from one individual is paired with another combination of traits from a different individual to produce offsprings with the combined traits. There are 4 chunks on P-Square, they are base, framework, divider and packages. P-Square is foldable because it has hinges and storage for packages is separated from the base. For the use of the product, the questions are placed in the first row and first column, with the answers or the traits passed down being placed in the empty boxes correlating to the traits. The product is 62 x 62 x 13 cm in size.
