Update - Dec - 28 - 2021 After one and a half years doing those conversions and many successful lenses I'm now pretty confident with this design.
The M36 thread that act as the focus helical has been redesigned now with a dual start 1.5mm pitch, providing a more secure and "nicer" feel to the focus.
But makes harder to print, you will need to calibrate your machine and also spent some time making small adjust and some eventual scraping.

(original)
I have been working on the design of these adapters for a few weeks already, and now I would like to share what I consider the best version so far.

This model provides for the possibility of link with the camera rangefinder.
This should work with many compact lenses but I have no way to make available a specific part for each one, so this is a starting point and there is a template and you just need to design the cavity to accommodate your lens and the rest should work.

I've tested it with film Leicas and Canon 7 and Sony mirrorless.
I'll leave a link for post on my blog (PT-BR so use a translator) where I share more details and photos. (hard to upload here since there is a 500kb limit)
https://www.rodgsilvaphoto.com/post/resgatando-lentes-de-câmeras-p-s-quebradas

*The lens on the picture is a from Canon Prima/Owl BF-7 (35mm f4.5)

Print Settings

Printer Brand:

TEVO

Printer:

Tarantula

Rafts:

No

Supports:

Doesn't Matter

Resolution:

0.12

Infill:

25

Notes:

*Working threads can be VERY difficult to print correctly, I already added some tolerance in the design but maybe you need to calibrate some parameters. A small negative value such -0.1 of "horizontal expansion" (CURA) can help a lot.

*Use a very small amount of glue to fix parts such the focus stopper and RF ramp after you have all calibrated.

*A little scraping and sandpaper may be necessary, as well as trimming some parts like the ramp of the rangefinder which will vary according to the design.

Category: Camera
