Miniature yet mighty, this desk-bound 3D printer is an ingenious creation crafted from diverse components. It's clear that this machine will require a tether during printing operations to avoid costly mishaps, but its use of a CNC Shield for an Arduino Uno R3 board offers a reliable foundation. Twenty-eight BYJ-48 motors are employed, necessitating conversion to bipolar motors, and A4988 drivers provide the necessary control. An E3D Hotend will be utilized in conjunction with these 28BYJ-48 motors to extrude filament, although utilizing a Nema motor would significantly enhance efficiency. Additionally, the machine's design can be easily modified to accommodate this upgrade. The printer boasts a standard Cartesian/Cantilever layout, with a generous build volume of 50x50mm.
