The new NASA Mars Rover, 'Curiosity,' features a heat shield designed by my girlfriend. This rover was launched on an Atlas V system, inspiring the theme for this week's earring design. Modeling rockets as volumes of revolution, I adjusted scale lines to improve print quality. To assemble, print without a raft if adhesion is sufficient; glue in an earring wire through the top of the rocket, paint, and varnish for the finishing touch.
