P-Box
thingiverse
Flashback to the 70's - Radio Shack sold kits that came in a P-box, or perf-box. The box was in two parts and used as packaging for the kit but then the perforated red portion became the through-hole assembly area for leaded parts, and the clear cover became the base where you could look through to the wiring inside-that wasn't really all that interesting. Hole spacing was way too large even for pre-modern stuff like dip-ICs and usually failed to match any of the leaded parts back then either. Feeling nostalgic while waiting for the printer to finish its job, I thought I'd share this with those who remember it. I haven't printed a copy yet - I'll leave that to another senior moment. If you print this, it has to be in red to be authentic. Yes, I can still smell the aroma of hot solder and melting plastic. Check out http://my.core.com/~sparktron/pbox.html for a list of electronic kits from way back then with pictures! Nice stuff. Enjoy!
