P-Bone Slide Prosthetic Hand Adapter
thingiverse
This attachment is designed specifically for 3D printed hands to enable them to play the trombone. It attaches directly to the slide, where another piece holds the instrument in place. As a Seattle Pacific University student taking a class on 3D printing, I created this part as a project. The e-Nable hand attachment is compatible with both left and right hands. To ensure successful prints, it's recommended to print this part in side view rather than bottom-up. This helps avoid stress concentrations that might cause the piece to break when attached to the slide. Printing with the base on the bottom can lead to fractures, but printing at a lower fill density or using a more pliable material may help mitigate these issues.
