The Mustang model was created for the Discovery Channel's "Showdown Air Combat" program, featuring near-scale accuracy and meticulous texturing. It includes intricate details such as a fully modeled cockpit with controls and instrument panels, engine, cowlings, engine mounts, seat, and radio equipment. Animated features comprise the ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, landing gear, doors, canopy, and propellers. Later upgrades enhanced the model by replacing parts, refining textures on wings, and adding details to the cockpit, including an engine, oil reservoir, mounting arms, intake duct, fuel lines, and spark plugs. Removable cowling panels offer a realistic view of the aircraft's maintenance. Notably, landing gear features have been added, along with wing fuel tanks, a rear fuselage tank, and a well-detailed set of electrical equipment and radios in the cockpit.
