This Mustang model, initially designed for Discovery Channel's "Showdown Air Combat," features near-scale construction and intricate texturing. It meticulously includes detailed components such as cockpit, engine, cowlings, engine mounts, seats, and radio equipment. The cockpit boasts animated controls, instrument panels, numerous cranks, and switches. Animated features encompass ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear, doors, and canopy opening. Propellers are also animated. A subsequent upgrade replaced multiple modeled parts, enhanced wing textures, and refined the cockpit with additional details such as engine, oil reservoir, mounting arms, intake duct, fuel lines, and spark plugs. Removable cowling panels reveal the engine, replicating real-life maintenance views. Landing gear features have been added, along with spar, wing fuel tank, fuselage and fuselage fuel tanks, and a set of electrical equipment and radios behind the pilot's seat.
