The Mustang model, initially designed for Discovery Channel's "Showdown Air Combat," boasts near-scale construction with intricate texturing. It includes detailed components such as cockpit, engine, cowlings, engine mounts, seats, and radio equipment. The cockpit features animated controls, instrument panels, and numerous switches and cranks. Numerous elements are animatable, including ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear, doors, and the canopy-opening cockpit. Propellers also animate. A later upgrade enhanced the model by replacing many parts, refining wing textures, and meticulously remodeling the cockpit with additional details. The upgraded version features a modeled engine, oil reservoir, mounting arms, intake duct for oil cleaner, fuel lines, and spark plugs. Cowling panels on both sides can be removed to reveal the engine, replicating real-life maintenance scenarios. Additional landing gear features, wing fuel tanks, a rear fuselage tank, and well-crafted electrical equipment and radios behind the pilot's seat are also part of the model.
