Originally crafted for Discovery Channel's "Showdown Air Combat," this Mustang model boasts near-scale construction with intricate texturing. Detailed features encompass the cockpit, engine, cowlings, engine mounts, seat, and radio equipment. The cockpit contains numerous animated elements, including ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, landing gear, doors, and canopy opening. Propellers are also animated. A later upgrade improved modeled parts, retextured wings, and enhanced the cockpit with additional components such as engine, oil reservoir, mounting arms, intake duct, fuel lines, spark plugs, and removable cowling panels. Landing gear features, spar, and wing fuel tank are also included, along with a rear fuselage fuel tank and a well-modeled set of electrical equipment and radios in the fuselage.
