Originally designed for Discovery Channel's "Showdown Air Combat," this Mustang model boasts near-scale construction and complete texturing. Detailed features include cockpit, engine, cowlings, engine mounts, seats, and radio equipment, all accurately modeled. The intricately modeled cockpit includes controls, instrument panels, numerous cranks and switches, animateable ailerons, flaps, rudder, elevators, main and tail landing gear and doors, opening canopy, animated propellers, and removable cowling panels revealing the engine. Later upgrades enhanced various parts, added textures to wings, rebuilt the cockpit with additional details, modeled the engine, oil reservoir, mounting arms, intake duct, fuel lines, and spark plugs. Landing gear features were also improved, including spar, wing fuel tank, rear fuselage fuel tank, and a detailed set of electrical equipment and radios behind the pilot's seat.
