Mid-engined Fighter Aircraft Delivered to Russia Under Lend-Lease Program The US government handed over this mid-engined fighter aircraft to Russia as part of the lend-lease program. While the US was not impressed with the plane, Russian officials fell in love with its design and capabilities. Model Details in Blender 2.79b A detailed model of the aircraft was created in full dimensions using Blender 2.79b software. To generate a .stl file suitable for 3D printing, the model was scaled down to 1/100th of its original size. Preparing the Model for Printing To ensure accurate prints, the model was further reduced in scale to 35% of its original dimensions using the slicer software. This process involves breaking down the model into layers that can be printed individually by a 3D printer. Reference Models and Print Quality For reference purposes, standard 15mm dice were used to gauge the size and proportions of the model. If printing issues arise during the production process, the model will not be posted online. A Note on Print Quality Apologies are offered for any imperfections in the print quality due to ongoing technical difficulties after a recent repair. The creator is still working out the kinks to achieve optimal results.
