P-38 Lightning

This model is from 3dexport.com by air3Dplane and requires some adjustments before printing. I added rotating propellers to the design, and it now comes with a stand. However, read the instructions carefully prior to printing. I printed this using .35mm nozzle and 3mm ABS. With proper scaling, you should achieve similar results as shown in the picture. While attempting to create one .stl file for all pieces, I encountered issues; however, you can rotate these parts accordingly in your CAD or print software: Front: -90 degrees Back: 90 degrees Tail Front: -90 degrees Tail Back: 90 degrees Alternatively, make the flat sides face down during printing. I scaled mine up to x35, but adjust according to your preference for optimal propeller rotation. Print the propellers separately and scale them taller on the Z-axis for better results. You may require support material only for the propellers. After printing, you might need to enlarge the holes in the cap for the props. A 1.75mm filament piece or a paper clip serves as the axle for the propellers. The rest of the assembly should be straightforward. Enjoy your print!
