P-188 Cartridge Adaptor for Vintage RCA Record Changer

My son is meticulously restoring a pair of vintage RCA record changers. One crucial step involves replacing the original phonograph cartridges with easily accessible modern ones. After scouring numerous tutorials showcasing various methods for mounting new cartridges in the original tone arms, I was astonished to find that no one had created an adaptor to facilitate this process - especially if you want the stylus to remain in the same location and height as the original one. We're utilizing a generic P-188 replacement cartridge, which is stereo, whereas the original was mono. I successfully reverse-engineered the P-188 and designed an adaptor that ensures the needle sits at the exact same location and height as the original cartridge. The new cartridge snaps securely into place within the adaptor, and then the entire assembly is installed in the tone arm using the original screws. Although we've only tested these adaptors in RCA record changers, like the one featured, I believe they will work on other models that utilize a similar cartridge.
