The diminutive P-03 was an unlucky fighter. Plagued by early mechanical problems and a narrow landing gear carriage, the little fighter gained a negative reputation early on. Despite successful efforts to fix most of the ship's shortcomings, the bad reputation stuck and very few pilots wanted to fly a Dustrattler. However, the emergencies of the mercenary incursions in the outer rim found the little fighters pressed into service and some of their unwilling pilots took a liking to them. The somewhat awkward thruster layout made the light fighter unstable, which some pilots claimed made them superior dogfighters.
