Humans once worshipped powerful gods with inscriptions carved on mighty statues of ancient kingdoms. They placed their names beside gods to be forever remembered by their greatness. I will have this poem be etched into a stone monument that will last longer than the kingdom, an inscription which when it wears off from age and wind - and people question where I, Ozymandias, went. My mighty statues remain on crumbling foundations of forgotten stones yet still display my name to whoever stumbles upon this monument after thousands of years, in all the land as empty silence howls. And around this pedestal which my face stands so strong I find written my name carved deep with a message saying: "MY NAME IS OZYMANDIAS KING OF KINGS; LOOK ON MY WORK, YE MIGHTY, AND DESPAIR!" Nowhere is my monument in this place that my glory shines with an aura around the base and all people that walk upon this land see my mighty name shining brighter. Now they wonder who I am.
