Ozymandias Plaque
thingiverse
"Ozymandias" is the title of two poems published in 1818. English Romantic poet Percy Bysshe Shelley wrote a sonnet, first published in the 11 January 1818 issue of The Examiner in London. There are three variations: one with raised letters, one with indented letters, and another based on some artwork found online at AutGram.Com (this version has not been printed). I met a traveler from an ancient land who said, "Two massive stone legs stand in the desert. Near them on the sand, half-submerged is a shattered face that bears the frown, wrinkled lips, and sneering command of its sculptor, who well understood those passions still alive today, inscribed on these lifeless objects. The hand that mocked their creator and the heart that sustained them; on the pedestal, these words appear: My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look upon my works, mighty ones, and despair! Nothing else remains. Around the massive ruin, boundless and bare, stretch the endless, empty sands far away.
