This is a versatile breakout adaptor compatible with the Ozito (Bunnings) range of 18v power tools. It connects seamlessly to these power tools, just like a standard battery would, and features an integrated spring latch for secure positioning. This adaptable device can then be easily connected to batteries from various other power tool brands. Specifically designed to fit snugly onto the "Makita Battery Mount," created by Gary Platek, which is available on Thingiverse at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:352094, it enables direct connection to Makita 18V Lithium-Ion battery packs. Small, L-shaped electrical terminals need to be carefully cut from thin metal sheets and fitted through the printed slots in the main body. They can then be securely fastened into place using self-tapping screws in the pre-drilled mounting holes. For optimal performance, bend them as shown in the accompanying photo to create a spring action that ensures reliable electrical contact. Terminal lugs are used for power connections. When connecting to the "Makita Battery Mount," utilize our "Makita 18V battery Terminal" (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2156290) for perfectly aligned connections, allowing compression springs to be employed for a secure and wire-free electrical connection. Note: The Makita Battery Mount appears to have been designed with imperial dimensions in mind, potentially resulting in extremely small appearance in Cura. To correct this, simply scale it up by a factor of 25.4 on all axes.
