Oxygen Mask to respirator conversion
thingiverse
Convert a standard oxygen mask into a high-efficiency respirator by crafting seals for its valves using a tourniquet rubber band. For the vent valve, cut a 24mm tourniquet to 63mm, fold it, and insert it into the vent while pushing it with a slender tool. Secure the nose valve with a smaller piece of rubber, trimmed to fit snugly, using a small clip. To ensure a tight seal in the joints, apply a small amount of silicone to the blank plug and vent. To fit the grill perfectly onto the filter, sand it lightly if necessary to achieve a secure connection. The design accommodates two CPAP filters; other filter materials can be cut to size using the provided filter as a guide. Separate STL files for individual components and an STL file containing the complete kit are included for download. Additionally, I've attached a FreeCAD file, allowing you to customize or refine the design according to your needs. Please print and make this respirator available to first responders in urgent need of PPE equipment.
