OX Y Drag Chain Mount
thingiverse
17Feb2017 -- Added mounts for 40x15mm drag chain per qbvbsite's request. I haven't tested it or anything, but it seemed to fit his well. "Remix" of ooznet's Y drag chain mount. Basic dimensions are all the same, except re-drawn from scratch and rounded off. I believe theirs goes the other way (you mount the chain on the bottom), but due to my belt tensioners and stepper, I didn't have room, so I made this. Added rear mount. This one goes into the end of the 'x' v-slot in 3 ways. It has 'nubs' that go into the slot, Screws also go into the end of the v-slot (you'll need an M5 tap), and also attaches with a T-Nut (drop in or regular). STEP file included so you can modify it and such. Made for a 15x30 drag chain, and the hole pattern kind of matches that. You'll need to drill out the existing holes (M4 sized) to allow an M5 bolt through, or stick with an M4, but you will need to drill a new hole, just forward of the other one, to allow the third bolt through, see pic. Also includes inserts for M5 nuts on the bottom of it, as it's kind of hard to get a wrench in there with the supports. Were all those supports necessary? I don't know, but it feels pretty hefty, so why not? If you do mount this on the lower holes (right above the stepper like I did), you'll need to drill a new hole in the gantry plate to get it in (mine didn't have it at least). Print Settings Resolution: 0.3mm (or 0.2mm) Infill: 70-100% Notes: Print it at whatever you think is good. I went with 70% infill just for time, but 100% is obviously going to be stronger. I'd rather spend an extra 20 mins printing completely solid than wasting another hour (and matl) reprinting because it wasn't strong enough and broke. You'll need to rotate it, obviously, print it with the 'top side' in the mounted position on the build plate, but you should be able to realize that, right?
