Riding an electric unicycle is cool, but imagine cruising on air instead! This sleek design conceals the Ninebot One E+ beneath a cloud-inspired cover, creating the illusion of standing on a fluffy white cloud. The cloud's distinctive shape is actually a nod to the ownCloud logo, showcasing our partnership at dvocc17. Crafted from 10mm sheets of white PU foam, the cover features a large central circle measuring 45cm in diameter. The remaining parts fit neatly within a compact 300mm x 400mm lasercutter space. Once assembled, the cloud stands an impressive 65cm tall and stretches 118cm long. For a seamless construction process, refer to the included STL file, which outlines how individual components are layered together. To assemble the cloud, apply hot glue liberally, holding each part firmly in place. Be cautious not to press too hard, as foam retains heat longer than expected, causing blisters on your fingers – a painful reminder of the process! The accompanying SVG file contains multiple layers, guiding you through the construction steps from photos to a final layout ready for lasercutting. To complete the full cover, cut all parts twice and assemble two cloud designs: one as shown in the STL file and its mirror image. Finally, glue them together, leaving the bottom open and one or two openings at the top for easy access to the handle and power button.
