Owl - scan of my clay sculpture
prusaprinters

I made this clay owl in art class in 7th grade decades ago.

I wanted to use this as a learning project to see if I could make a printable model.

Tools used:

-iPhone Camera

-AGI Metashape

-Meshmixer

I sprinkled some flour on him so there would be a texture to help the photo stiching. I then took 105 photos with my iPhone. With AGI Metashape the photos were stitched together and an obj was created. With meshmixer I smoothed out some things, adjusted the nose so there was no overhang, and made a nice base to close it off. It came out great! The large yellow one took about 8 hours to print. The print/scan even got my initials on the bottom of the base off the actual clay model.
