Initially, I faced issues while printing an appropriate cone for the bowden clamp things as they were slippery inside unless overtightened in the riser. This OpenSCAD model features inner rings to provide non-uniform radial clamp force on the tube and is fully parametric, allowing tuning based on tube diameter, riser internal diameter, and printer precision. Thank Owen for this fantastic design! To use the provided STL file, it was originally designed for pit3k's feeder end bowden clamp thing but should work similarly for owen's original hot end clamp (although not based on his OpenSCAD files). Use free OpenSCAD software, load the scad source file, adjust constants as needed, press F6, and export it as STL. The default values are: - Internal ripples: ripple width = 0.3 (at base of cone), ripple height = 1, ripple spacing = 2 - Cone body: internal radius (bowden tube diameter) = 6, cone height = 16, outside radius (big one) = 9.2, outside radius (small one) = 7.8, vertical opening width = 2. Drill the riser slightly for a smoother fit, as the cone adapts to different diameters on its own. Share your settings and print results so we can add STL variants to the thing! Print with Cura RC4, raft, 0.1mm layer height, 0.8mm wall thickness, 60mm speed, 20% fill density (almost irrelevant), low temperature + fan for better outcomes.
