Ovulix v4.0 - GrabCAD Egg Drop Challenge
grabcad
The latest Ovulix prototype has yet to succeed in shielding eggs from a 15-foot fall, making this GrabCAD Challenge particularly difficult. The objective is to utilize the flexible nature of 3D printed plastic to mitigate the impact of a 15-foot drop for the Egg Drop Challenge. This is my second attempt at the challenge; however, it too did not safeguard the egg from such height. This design might only protect an egg from a shorter fall but not 15 feet. The Ovulix v1.3's support material removal proved easier than its predecessor, but the ABS plastic's brittleness resulted in cracking upon impact. Three more Ovulix variations (part of the Ovulix Range) will be uploaded as separate entries, and videos of these failed attempts will be shared soon.
