Overwatch Snowball Desk Toy
thingiverse
This is a high-tech desk toy featuring Mei's little robot Snowball from Overwatch. Designed with LED lighting in mind, it comes to life standing at just under 5" tall. A rechargeable internal battery powers the display, providing up to 8 hours of continuous runtime, depending on the chosen LEDs and resistors. The battery can be easily charged via a USB Micro B connector, allowing for continuous operation during charging. Included in this download is a ZIP folder containing all the parts separated into individual folders for easy browsing. Parts requiring multiple prints are clearly marked with the necessary quantity. In addition to the printed parts, two Adobe Illustrator files are included, one for laser cutting an alternate base stand from 1/8" acrylic and another for cutting out Snowball's face mask from tinted plastic transparency (optional). For optimal results, use clear PETG for the Diffusers in the eyes and thrusters to allow light to shine through. The rest of the parts can be printed with PLA just fine. If available, printing this model with an SLA machine would also be a great option, helping to achieve precise details and post-processing. To assemble the electronic components, you will need the following hardware: * Adafruit Micro-Lipo Charger * Adafruit 18650 battery * (9x) 5mm Blue Strawhat LED * (9x) 100Ω resistors * 12mm slide switch * (4x) M3 x 8mm button screws * (4x) M3 x 3mm threaded inserts * (2x) M2 * 4mm screws * Thin gauge electronics wire (24 AWG recommended) * Thin tinted transparency for Snowball's face (optional) Please note that many of these parts can be found at local hobby or hardware stores, but the provided links are available for convenience.
