Overwatch - Reaper: Soldier 24 Skin - Cosplay Parts
thingiverse
These parts and pieces were made for a friend's cosplay and I figured I might as well share them with the world. Full disclosure, I had a cheap lazer capable of cutting 1/2in EVA foam, so half of the parts were cut that way, while the others were 3D printed. Laser cut pieces are designed to be heated and formed after cutting, so consider them just templates. All parts were made for my friend who is about 6 foot. Boot pieces are attached to a size 11 combat boot, but the way that they are made, I think they would fit most sizes as long as they are bulky boots. I used 1.5in "Rubber Self-Seal Pipe Wrap Insulation" for the tubing on his vambraces and chest pieces. Not included: Guns - lots of models out there, but I included the text that is usually missing, as a bonus. Cloak - my attempt was poor at best Chest Armor plates - I made due without by forming the foam. but it would have looked better with 3D printed pieces Angular Calf Armor - was too hard to get just right because video game proportions. It was easier to Velcro the shin to the boot and pants,, and because of the cloak, you'd never really see these. Most of these pieces were contact cemented to boots, pants, shirts, etc. Weldwood contact cement worked just fine since I couldn't find Barge locally. Primed and painted with spray paint, and then dry brushed with a silver for weathering. I think I used a massive amount of hot glue to get the chest piece to fit right, but the hot glue plus the EVA foam made a super snug fit. The chest piece was ultimately trimmed around the sides to make it more comfortable, and it was attached by simply running a belt between the fake belt and the larger chest piece before gluing, and clasped in the back. The top of the armor just tucked into the overcoat cloak thing, and that worked surprisingly well. 3D printable parts included: Boot Cleats, Knuckle Guards, Wrist Guards, Ear piece, Thigh Buckles, Vambraces, Chest Pipe gem doohicky. 2D Laser Cuttable Parts Include: Boot trim, Shin guards, Knee Guards, Thigh Straps, Bicep Armor, Shoulder Armor, Back armor and shoulder straps, and Vambrace trim pieces (I thought these would be more comfortable made of foam) If anyone needs help or different file formats, or if it seems like I left something out, feel free to reach out.
