Overwatch Mercy Concept Wings (Resliced v2 parts)
thingiverse
I made a set of posable Mercy wings for my genderbend Mercy cosplay last summer and have decided to release my design files. They were designed to closely resemble her original wings with the added benefit of vertical and horizontal positioning. The wings have slots to insert 3mm acrylic feathers but look great without these added as well. Each part slots together and are joined using M4 40mm screws. Assorted hex nuts and bolts are required for each pivot point on the wing, and can be found at any hardware store. The wing mounts should be screwed into a solid back plate that fits the wearer to help distribute the weight of the wings. These parts were designed for a large format printer so they'll have to be split into more pieces for smaller printers. Here's my build thread on the rest of my Mercy cosplay: https://www.therpf.com/showthread.php?t=277480&highlight=male+mercy EDIT 3-9-18 New versions of the main wing housing have been uploaded with a left and right variant to hide the screws from the front. A guide key on the inside of the wing housing from a previous version has been removed, which should now allow for proper assembly of the mating fins. EDIT 3-18-18 The wings have been resliced so that all parts can fit within a standard Prusa i3 build volume (8x10x8"). Redesigned v2 wing mounts are now available with multiple mounting options either screw directly into your backplate using self tapping screws into the assigned holes or use M4 hexnuts imbedded into the proper part cuts outs with bolts running through your backplate to secure them. The previous larger versions of these parts are still available in the main files simply pick which version you want to print and grab the right files. For the smaller version, print all parts with v2 in the title both pivots and wing keys and v2.1 main bodies. For the larger version use all the original files plus the v2.1 main bodies.
