This is a remix from https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:542637 I was unable to link the two things, but that one was used for base. Printed on Wanhao Duplicator 12 (D12/300) I scaled the original model up to 50cm diameter and split it in to pieces to be printed on 300x300 build plate. All six pieces sanded a bit and glued together using superglue. For the top part I recommend also adding some hot glue, as the joint between top and sides is a bit too small for only superglue. When sanding the connection parts, periodically check if they fit together good. As you can see, I have some connection lines showing, but that could later also be sanded a bit and covered with some white paint or nail polish. LED strip was also hot glued to the inner sides. If I had a longer strip, I would probably also extend it to the prongs, as they are not fully lit up currently. PRINTING: Sliced with CURA. Pieces can be rotated to fit 300x300 build plate. I was also able to fit side1 and side2 together in to one print, I realized this too late and probably could have done the same with other pieces. If you have smaller plate, make sure to scale all pieces equally down to whatever size you need. I used 10% infill with tri-hexagon pattern, this gave a cool honeycomb glow to the whole thing when lit up. In hindsight, Triangles pattern might have been better, as it fits better with the Overwatch theme. SUPPORTS: Since all the pieces have tapered edges which can be easily printed without supports, I recommend changing the slicing settings so that only 80+ degree supports are printed. This way both sides and top part will have supports generated only for the joints. In the end the whole thing weighed so little, that I could hang it on one simple thumbtack.
