Oversized wooden sword
thingiverse
A one-of-a-kind sword crafted in the traditional style, but with a modern twist - it's made entirely of wood and laser-cut details. This sword is definitely not designed for sparring purposes, as it would break easily and is oversized to boot. Here are the instructions: 1. Cut out the DXF files using a laser cutter, then work with 4mm thick wood. 2. Assemble all the parts and glue them together - make sure the two largest components go in the middle section, while the smallest pieces form the top and bottom layers. 3. Use 3D printing to create the STL files. 4. Insert the guard into the small "tail" of the wooden piece - you can secure it with a bit of glue if you like. 5. Gently hammer down the handle into place, being careful not to break any parts that might be made from soft materials. 6. Tap the pommel gently into position. 7. Show off your creation to your friends and bask in their admiration.
