Oversized Bolt & Nut

<p>This is a fairly simple model of a larger-than-life bolt and matching nut. I created this as a piece of shelf art and it's pretty fun to just play with, but there's also a hidden compartment inside the bolt. Could be a great place to hide some emergency cash or secret documents.</p> <p>The nuts do have some challenging overhangs, but it printed almost perfectly without supports on my Prusa i3 MK3S. I used the 0.15mm layer height with Amazon Basics Black PLA. I have printed an earlier version of this in their Premium Blue PLA and it came out amazing, so I'll probably try out their black Premium PLA soon.</p> <p>UPDATE: My Prusament Galaxy Black arrived, so nice!</p> <p>It stands 130mm tall when assembled, both the nut and the hex cap are 30mm tall. The bolt shaft is 50mm in diameter.</p>
