This is definitely over-engineered, but I like it. The height above the printer gives the filament a pretty straight path to the whole print area and it’s super stable and easy to change out. I used 1/2 inch copper pipe (5/8 inch O.D.) as the structure and 3D printed the feet, caps, and joints. You can get all of the copper you need from a 6’ length of pipe. I was lucky enough to just have some laying around from other projects. I printed the plastic parts on my Flashforge Finder using the default settings for the low resolution (faster) print. I did not use supports, rafts, or brims for any of the pieces. A couple of things to note: [[1]] Everything is press fit. No need for glue or fasteners of any kind. [[2]] This will accommodate spools up to 2-7/8 inches wide. (I use the 1kg Hatchbox spools with no problem) [[3]] All parts except the “lower corners” (the feet) are fully symmetric. The lower corners are mirror symmetric. That means the back left (BL) and front right (FR) feet are identical, but the back right (BR) and front left (FL) feet are their mirrors. [[4]] You’ll need to print 2 of each part. [[5]] The cut list for the copper piping is as follows: (4) 9-15/16 inch for the main supports (2) 4-1/4 inch cross bars (front and back) (2) 3 inch cross bars (left and right) (2) 5-1/2 inch riser bars (1) 4-3/8 inch spool hanger bar I’d recommend printing a riser cap first to verify the fit. The copper pipe should be a tight press fit into the piece. You could easily adjust the scale factor to customize this fit and apply that scaling to all parts. I don’t plan on updating this design. It works for me and is posted here on the off chance it would be useful for anyone else. Enjoy!
