Overhead extension cord pulley
thingiverse
This pulley was constructed for the fab lab to position extension cords more conveniently. It has two degrees of freedom, ensuring that forces on the main truss won't damage the 3D printed parts. Cable support is up to half an inch in size. The printable bearing (print-_head.stl) should be printed in a different plastic for wear prevention. Future improvements may involve merging the two interfacing parts into one with a ball bearing design. For assembly, print all the necessary pieces and use 1/4-20 x 1 1/2" bolts (x2), locknuts or nuts, washers if desired, and 1 1/2" wood screws (x2). The rest should be self-explanatory. The BOM includes the required materials: two 1/4-20 x 1 1/2" bolts, locknuts or nuts as locknuts substitutes, washers for added support if needed, and two 1 1/2" wood screws.
