A compact aquaponics system is being designed to suspend above an aquarium using hydroponic tubes. A specially crafted slot fits snugly over 3-4mm glass, and can be easily enlarged if necessary. To ensure optimal water circulation, the water level should sit approximately 2cm below the top of the tank, allowing the bottom to remain moist. However, the slot's dimensions can also be expanded vertically if required, as long as the holes do not become so large that hydroponic tubes start to fall through. Future iterations will involve creating a parametric design for this system.
