Sharp force trauma
The features and overall pattern of any traumatic injury depend on how the bone responds to different forces. Therefore, there are 4 principal types of skeletal traumas based on the mechanism and type of force that caused the trauma: sharp force trauma, blunt force trauma, thermal trauma, and gunshot trauma. This model illustrates multiple mandibular injuries caused by sharp instruments/tools.
