Over-the-Ear ear bud holder

Since I don't use headphones much, I prefer the cheap over-the-ear style with a bluetooth connection (purchased as “Waterproof Bluetooth 5.0 Earbuds Stereo Sport Wireless Headphones in Ear Headset” Model D-20). To keep them neatly stored, or for holding them when charging (USB charger), I made this simple holder. Initially I was planning to make a fully enclosed fit-in-the-pocket holder, but this initial version is working for me for the time being.

Note that this print was constructed to specifically fit the headphones I purchased, but I think they will likely work with other similar ones as well.

Use instructions:

The photos show how the headphones fit into the holder. Note that one side of the holder has cut-outs to allow access for the USB charging cable, and to view the charging status light.

Start by inserting the non-charging headphone into the holder with the earbud facing up (as shown in the second photo).

Next, wrap the connecting cable around the holder, and insert the second headphone into the holder with the earbud facing down.

With the headphones inserted into the holder correctly, you should have access to the USB charging port, and the charging light on the end of the earbud should be visible. The cover photo shows the headset correctly inserted into the holder.

Print Instructions

Print in PLA using the 3mf or gcode files provided.

CAD

The OnShape 3D CAD files for this are here :

https://cad.onshape.com/documents/d1ce6d98308f80204ede94b2/w/e31c442ab7e5c98ecb7de07b/e/58d86148f88fdfdec617e2f7
