Over-Engineered Mint Dispenser
thingiverse
My Dad requested an Altoids mint container design that wouldn't rattle in his computer bag or pocket. The design I came up with features a twist eraser mechanism found on certain mechanical pencils. Initial prototypes worked smoothly, and I recommend using this mechanism if you get the tolerances right. Twisting the bottom raises and lowers the mints and cap at the top locks in either an open or closed position. Altoids or Ice Breaker mints can be loaded from the front port, but the cap is removable for easy refills from the top. It took several prototypes to get the tolerances just right. I believe some tweaking could still be done. If your print's fitment is too tight or loose, add a comment with details on which part of the mechanism isn't fitting correctly.
