Oven Safety door lock

This was a work for my client. The task was to design a safety lock for oven/stove door that can prevent children from opening it and getting burned. It is a simple, easy to install, durable, and compatible device that have a mechanism that is impossible for a child to unlock but an adult can easily open the oven door. The plastic lock is attached to the oven/stove door and the frame using adhesive tape, and prevent the door from opening at the locked position. My design can effectively withstand high temperatures and resist accidental opening. It also does not require any drilling or wiring, and it can fit different types of oven/stove doors.
