Oven Knob 38mm Dia (6mm shaft) for Simpson

Nearly every knob on my Simpson Apollo oven was cracked or broken where it gripped the shaft. (As they _all_ do, apparently. The knobs have a built-in weak point where they grip the shaft.) A replacement knob cost from $8 to $15 plus shipping. For the six knobs, this would have been over $60, plus shipping. Obviously, I designed a 3D printed replacement. :-) When I redesigned this replacement knob, I eliminated the spring retainer and replaced it with a set-screw (grub screw.) Either tap the hole, or heat a screw to tap the hole, or simply let the screw "self-tap" as you put it in place. You can use this feature, or not. The knob holds firmly in place even without the set-screw. Two versions are supplied; One simplistic without a pointer or smoothed edges, and one with a pointer, with fillets, etc. You can either paint the raised pointer, or do a filament change in the last few layers to make the pointer a different color of your choosing. Print on "edge" with the flat against the bed. I would suggest using a brim to hold the part in place. No supports are needed. This knob directly fits at _least_ these oven models and likely quite a few more: Simpson 3U600W Mercury Simpson 3U601W Colombo Simpson 3U602W Neptune Simpson 3U603W Saturn Simpson 3U604W  Simpson 3U605W Simpson 3U606W  Simpson Apollo Simpson Alpha Simpson Jupiter Simpson Cosmos I supplied the Inventor file, as well as a STEP file if you wish to modify the geometry to suit your brand of oven. I would enjoy hearing from you if you find these files useful, and would enjoy seeing your makes and remakes. :-)
