<p>This is a base for an edge lit acrylic sign. It is designed to be held together by rare earth magnets, but could be glued. It works using standard LED lighting strips and can house small standard LED controllers. The slot is 6 inches by 6 mm and I use it with a 3mm acrylic sheet and a 3mm masking sheet, see pictures. It could be used with up to 6mm acrylic or with a spacer instead of a mask. See pictures for example parts list for the entire project. I have a laser so I cut my own signs.&nbsp;</p>
