I designed this innovative cutlery concept. In just 15 to 30 minutes, this design can be printed out and ready for use. You can either use it flat as it comes out of the printer (knife or fork) or throw it into boiling water and shape it further to add a spoon function next to ergonomically shaping it to fit perfectly in your hand. This process also gives the object added strength. Simply take an existing spoon, press hot PLA into a mold for a few seconds, and the shape will freeze instantly. I created small (S), medium (M), and large (L) versions of this design. The S-version is a compact, slim teaspoon model, while the M version is slightly wider. The L-version is both wider and taller. By heating PLA in boiling water for a brief moment, you can smooth out rough surfaces created by supports, resulting in a clean finish.
