Object Type: Oval-shaped double brooch in a bowl shape. Origin: Ångstad Farm, Hadsel, Nordland County. Responsible Party: The Arctic University Museum of Norway. Location: The Arctic University Museum of Norway. Discovery Circumstances: Grave Find/Unknown Funnel Category. Discovery Date: Age Range: Younger Iron Age to Viking Age (800-1050 AD). Context: Material: Bronze. Usage: The brooches were used as decorative pins on either side, holding the women's dresses together. Details: An oval-shaped double brooch in a bowl shape, with intricate raised ornamentation. The brooch is in excellent condition, except for a few missing parts around the edge and the needle itself. The brooch is dated to the Younger Iron Age, likely towards the end of the Viking period.
