I simply use a basic OV5648 webcam with LightBurn, no complications whatsoever. This camera has a 70-degree field of view and works perfectly well with my BossLaser 1420. I purchased it from Amazon at this link: https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B07H84R4B8. If needed, you can secure the camera in place using double-sided tape to prevent movement within the case. To be safe, I applied 3M VHB tape directly to the inside cover of my machine. For the LS1420, attaching it to the cover centered on the handle and pressed against the edge of the plexiglas worked out great for me, allowing a complete view of the bed when the cover is open.
