This is a versatile outlet box extender designed specifically for standard household outlet boxes, which often become overcrowded due to the installation of larger switches or receptacles. It will seamlessly accommodate any US standard outlet box with a standard size switch face plate. The device extends the switch 1.25 inches from the wall, providing ample space for comfortable access. To secure it firmly in place, I utilized two #6-32 screws that were 2 inches long to attach both the switch and extender to the wall box. This setup should also prove effective for GFI installations.
