Outer Castle Wall Medieval Graffiti, Arcidosso
sketchfab
Medieval crests, texts, and graffiti adorn the outer wall of the Aldobrandeschi Castle in Arcidosso, Grosseto, Tuscany. A large and intricate inscription on multiple lines, penned in alchemic symbols, catches the eye - dated to 1404 by an incision on its top edge. This complex text was captured using Reality Capture's advanced technology, which compiled 900 photographs into a single model. The Mt. Amiata Project brings together faculty and students from the University of Florence and the University of Siena in a collaborative effort spearheaded by GDH. We extend our deepest gratitude to the Municipality of Arcidosso for their unwavering support, making this project possible.
