Outdoor Water Tap Knob

Outdoor Water Tap Knob

My faucet knob broke in half, so I made a new one from scratch. It fits snugly on my 9.5mm knobbly bit. The design features 16 teeth. I'm including the Fusion360 source files for anyone who wants to customize their own knob. The model is mostly parametric, meaning you can tweak a few dimensions and the rest of the feature will update accordingly. If you want a stronger knob that feels more substantial in your hand, I recommend using the thicker version. It's probably better suited for printing with PLA. I also included a knob test file, which is just a small section of the connecting part. You can scale it up or down to get a perfect fit on your tap. Make sure it's a very tight fit so the teeth don't slip out. To achieve this, you might want to heat up the knob with a lighter and then press the plastic onto it. If you plan to use your new faucet knob outdoors, consider using a more durable plastic like ASA, which offers better resistance to UV light and extreme temperatures.
